Date Of Death: October 16, 2007

William Spence (Bill) Swift, 53, of Carmel, passed away Tuesday, October 16th, 2007. He was born February 19, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Perry and Betty Swift. He served in the U.S. Navy, and was a graduate of Purdue University receiving his Bachelors Degree as an Electrical Engineer.Bill is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lynn (Rayshich)Swift; son, Ian Swift; and half brother, Richard Barton. At his request, no services will be held. Bill will be buried at sea at a later date.

    I’m very saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. I worked with him at Indy and NAS Oceana on several occasions. He was a great guy and a very smart engineer. He will be missed by his collegues. My deepest condolences to his family; Max Holshouser/SEMCOR & ZEISS Germany

    I wish the Swift Family peace as they endure Bill’s passing.
    Bill always served his nation and his Navy with great honor. Those of us who worked with Bill did so with a smile. No matter what the situation we faced; we faced it together.
